Dune Explosion

Personal FX study inspired by the destruction sequences in Dune. A procedural rocket-trail system auto-detonates each missile on contact with a heightfield terrain; Axiom-driven pyro plays out in Solaris without hand-keyed triggers, rendered on GPU with Karma XPU. Sole artist, 3–5 day turnaround.

Godzilla Rise

Hero shot of Godzilla breaching open ocean for a freelance client. FLIP surface with a custom whitewater spawn driven by curvature and velocity for tighter foam control around the silhouette. Built in Solaris and rendered on GPU with Karma XPU. Delivered and signed off, then kept as ongoing R&D: procedural environment shading and multi-light rigs with include/exclude rules.

White Chocolate

Studio R&D brief on food and small-scale liquid lookdev. Fractured a chocolate bar with break patterns matched to how real chocolate snaps, then hand-placed the milk chocolate chunks to shape the white chocolate flow. FLIP sim inside Solaris, rendered on GPU with Karma XPU; the bulk of the 3-day build went into shading, lighting, and a focus-pulling camera move to sell the beat.

Personal · Environment Study

Atmospheric Environment Creation

Personal environment study, rebuilt from memory instead of copying a Voxyde tutorial step-by-step. Extended the scene with procedural shaders, procedural scatter, fog, background trees and a rocky horizon, all in Solaris, rendered on GPU with Karma XPU. Week-long unrushed build; GPU thermals under sustained load were the biggest constraint.
